Create Connection

Stop, Breathe & Think | 9:21

Albert Einstein wrote, “A human being is part of the whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separate from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”

Mindfulness cultivates our experience of connectedness. It dissolves the illusion that we are alone and wholly separate from each other, by strengthening feelings of safety, compassion, and love. Over time, practice increases our connection - within ourselves, with our family, friends, work associates, and fellow living beings.

Outcomes of mindfulness that encourage connection, include greater personal wellbeing, lower stress, increased empathy, kindness and compassion, and positive changes in the perceptions of our world and relationships.
