So I want to pull this string a little bit and talk to you again about what are some other ways to motivate people. And as the title promises, I want to show you the world's cheapest and perhaps most effective performance enhancing drug, and I want to show it to you by giving you three studies. All right, I think it's important, as the folks at crucial conversations do, to really plumb the social science. What does social scientists know about all this? So I want to give you three studies that's going to yieldthis conclusion.
Number one. All right, so we're going to go to Israel for this study. It's a study of daycare centers in Israel, and these daycare centers in Israel had a problem.They had a problem. There was a rule in the daycare center, the parents had to pick up their kids by four in the afternoon. Most parents picked up their kids at four in the afternoon, but some parents started showing up late. Not a lot, but enough to make it a pain, enough to make it irritating. And so we got a rule. Got to pick up your kids by four.
