One last question that I often get, and especially with people who have pain, is when I do the body scan, my mind will always come back to the pain and again, that is completely normal, because, as we said in the beginning, that is actually the function of the pain. The function is kind of like a red flag saying, like, hello, pay attention. There's something wrong here. So that is what the pain is supposed to be doing, right?
So now you can say, well, I've done that. I've paid attention to the pain. And so now we have to retrain the mind, and that is really important, because this is part of the retraining that we're doing. So we talked about the hyper stimulation of the nervous system and people with chronic pain. So how we're doing that? What we're doing is we allow the pain to be there, right? So let's say your shoulders in pain.
