About the Event
Neuroscience is giving us powerful new tools for brain management and behavioral change - including neural practices that create specific leadership traits and capabilities.
Please join us for a review of the most important mental and emotional skills for effective leadership in the coming year - and how mindfulness neural training can be applied to develop them.
Why Brain Management?
Most leaders are still managing tensions in the post-pandemic workforce - the struggle over remote and hybrid work - the massive turnover of the Great Resignation - and unprecedented levels of burnout and disengagement.
For many of us (and our people), the scarce resources are the mental energy and bandwidth to do great work, while grappling with our own stressors, post-pandemic challenges, and attempts to establish a new normal.
But new science shows that we have much more control over our brains than previously known- and this enables us to act and react more skillfully in the moment, and respond more strategically in the long term.
New science also shows that many critical leadership competencies, long considered to be immutable traits, are in fact, trainable neural skills. Mindfulness neural training develops these skills by creating new networks that establish and imprint them in the brain.
Outcomes include specific, measurable, and remarkably positive improvements in well-being, cognitive performance, and emotional intelligence. These, in turn, can be applied to create more effective leadership capabilities and behaviors.
Leadership increasingly calls for authenticity, vulnerability, trustworthiness, self-awareness, emotional regulation, inclusion, psychological safety, adaptability, empathy, compassion and personal resilience - alongside sharper strategy, planning, critical thinking, complex problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
We now know that mental practices can change the brain, and that neural training can be applied to strengthen specific skills, and solve real-world business problems. This represents an important paradigm shift in human potential, and new performance capabilities for individuals and the organization.
