Welcome back.
Today we'll be talking about the wonderful attitude of kindness. We'll look at it, both from a personal perspective, from an organizational perspective, from a scientific perspective. And then as we always do, we'll talk about how do we actually train ourselves to increase our level of kindness through our mindfulness practice.
But before we get into the details of today's session, I'd like to make a very bold statement. And that is, we are all alike. Does that ring true for you?
Well, if you think about it, we are all alike in one very simple thing. None of us want to suffer. Now, some people you may think, enjoy being miserable all the time. But truthfully, we all want to be happy. Now with that in mind, I'd like to ask you to consider two simple questions.
The first one is, what do you need from others to be happy? And I'd like you to take a few moments to actually write down specifically, what do you need from others to be happy?
Now I'm going to ask you the second question.
What do others need from you to be happy? And please do take the time to actually write down your ideas in answer to that question.
